Scottsdale real estate isn’t something I learned later in life — it’s something I grew up inside of.

Scottsdale Isn’t Just Where I Work — It’s Home

I was raised in central Scottsdale and educated entirely within the local school system, attending:

  • Cochise Elementary School
  • Cocopah Middle School
  • Chaparral High School

I later attended Arizona State University.

Because of that, my understanding of Scottsdale isn’t theoretical or recent. It’s generational, street-level, and shaped by decades of watching neighborhoods change, mature, and cycle.

Over Two Decades in Real Estate

With more than 23 years in real estate, I’ve worked through multiple market cycles — expansion, contraction, speculation, correction, and recovery. That experience matters in Scottsdale, where neighborhoods behave very differently depending on location, land constraints, HOA structure, and buyer profile.

I’ve seen:

  • which areas hold value consistently
  • which neighborhoods attract long-term owners versus short-term demand
  • how zoning, HOAs, and development decisions affect resale years later
  • and where buyers tend to misjudge lifestyle fit

That perspective doesn’t come from data alone — it comes from time.

A Scottsdale Brokerage With Deep Local Knowledge

Our firm is built around local understanding, not scripts or volume. Between myself and the brokers and agents associated with our firm, Scottsdale isn’t just familiar — it’s deeply known.

That includes:

  • long-standing residential neighborhoods
  • master-planned communities
  • desert and foothills enclaves
  • private and guard-gated communities
  • and ultra-low-density luxury markets

We understand not just where homes are located, but how those areas actually live and why buyers choose one neighborhood over another.

How I Approach Real Estate

I approach real estate as a professional advisory role.

That means:

  • giving clear, direct guidance
  • explaining tradeoffs honestly
  • avoiding hype or generic language
  • and focusing on decisions that make sense over time

Scottsdale is a nuanced market. Oversimplifying it doesn’t help buyers or sellers, especially at higher price points or in legacy neighborhoods.

Why Local Context Matters Here

Scottsdale is more than 30 miles long, spans roughly 185 square miles, and includes neighborhoods that behave nothing alike.

Growing up here — and working here for decades — makes it easier to spot:

  • subtle location differences
  • lifestyle mismatches
  • pricing mistakes
  • and long-term risks that don’t show up in listing data

That’s the value of deep local context.
